Before Vogue
So, here’s our story.
We’re car guys. Ever since we were kids, we’ve loved driving, fixing, modding, buying and selling cars. We dove straight into the trade after completing our education, experience and skills training. From then onwards, it’s been a rollercoaster of a business ride and we have succeeded in achieving goals we never thought possible. In 2021, we set up our used car lot. The idea was simple: buy well-maintained nearly-new cars, make them perfect and sell them on to their new proud owners. Since then, we’ve sold over 1000 cars and earned a brilliant reputation as a reliable, honest and personalised car selling experience.
With the number and quality of cars passing through our hands, refining the business was a must. Dealing with potential buyers, suppliers, garages, parts businesses and our online web presence quickly became overwhelming for us. It was a ‘good problem to have’, if that makes sense. We found that organising and arranging the MOTs for our stock of vehicles was proving to be particularly nauseating. Dealing with many MOT garages and the varying quality of service amongst them made us question the quality of the work we were getting done on our cars. We needed a better solution. We felt our car buyers only deserved a fresh 12 months’ MOT on their new pride and joys, therefore, we needed a permanent solution to our MOT conundrum…
After Vogue
We took the plunge. We found a perfect location near our used car lot that had the potential to be the solution to our MOT requirements. We acquired the building, applied for the equipment, training and experienced staff to run it and it’s hit the ground running ever since. It was the summer of 2023 when we conducted our first MOT. Our first client was a booking from the internet and we gave her a bunch of flowers as well as a fresh 12 month’s MOT on her beloved car, with no advisories. This was the start of something new, but something dedicated.
Since then, Vogue MOT and Service Centre Ltd has become the reputable MOT garage we always wanted it to be for the general public, but also a reliable solution for our car businesses. It was a win-win for all. Since then, we have further invested in state-of-the-art equipment, tools and staff and we are fast-becoming a leader in the automotive sector in the North West of England.
